Log-ic: Revolutionize Your Cold Chain

Introducing Log-ic® ECM®

Log-ic tag

Information Mediary Corporation is proud to offer the Log-ic Electronic Content Monitor (ECM). Using patented technologies these low-cost active RFID sensors act as watchdogs in temperature-regulated or temperature-sensitive environments. For instance, shipments of refrigerated goods can be "tagged" with Log-ic ECM tags capable of monitoring temperatures in refrigerated shipping environments. Unlike other active wireless temperature sensors, Log-ic ECM tags do not emit any RF radiation and are safe to use on airplanes.

Programmable Active RFID Temperature Sensor

These tags can be kept in inventory in a power conserving "sleep" mode until they are required. A simple push button activates the tag to begin monitoring the contents of a package. The tags are capable of receiving programmable temperature thresholds via 2 way RFID communication. In the event of a temperature excursion (for example, greater than 10 minutes exposure to more than 8 degrees Celsius) the tag is programmed to display a warning light to the end user that an excursion point has been reached. The Log-ic ECM system offers attractive price-performance options ranging from inexpensive, disposable to re-usable specialty tags.

Package Integrity Preserved During the Cold Chain with Real Time Monitoring

Log-ic ECM tags do not have to be removed from the shipping carton to capture their data. This saves time and provides the shipper and customer with package integrity during the cold chain. On receipt of a shipment of temperature controlled product, the Log-ic ECM data can be downloaded via the wireless CertiScan RFID reader to ensure that proper temperature was maintained during the entire chain of a shipment. Quality and safety of perishable goods can now be tracked, verified and documented without active human intervention. The Log-ic ECM tag can perform and store a large number of temperature readings, lending itself to temperature and cold chain monitoring.

Log-ic Temperature Trackers and Loggers are engineered by Information Mediary Corporation and marketed by Intelligent Devices Inc. in partnership with worldwide distribution partners.

The Log-ic® Temp Sensor Advantage

  • Unique ID using 13.56 MHZ RFID
  • Low cost wireless programmable temperature recorder
  • Onboard analysis of time/temp and MKT
  • Up to 64,000 readings
  • Highly accurate (± 0.5°C)
  • Licensed to use as disposable or re-usable tag
  • Works with CertiScan RFID wireless reader
  • Water resistant

Log-ic ECM tags use CertiScan 13.56 MHz RFID readers and software to retrieve and display an easy to understand "at a glance" view of temperature conditions.

RFID 2-way communication can also be used to set the monitoring limits with scalable excursion points on each tag.

A simple histogram display gives a graphical representation of a number of temperature bins. Each bin (eg. between 7-8 degrees Celsius) shows the number of minutes the product has exposed in that temperature range.

The same information is also summarized on an easy to read pie chart.

Time and temperature points are processed real-time on the Log-ic Tracker ECM tag. Complex curves are instantly transformed to a simple and easy to read line graph.

Temperature excursions below and above programmable safety ranges are time-stamped and displayed on screen indicating the duration and maximum temperature reached for each excursion point. Up to 10 excursions can be tracked and displayed.
